Any recommended service technicians?
I'm near the Columbia, SC area and looking for recommendations on dealer/service center to service my '04. I'm willing to travel an hour or so (includes Charleston, Greenville, Charlotte) if need be. I just want someone who's capable and has some experience with S2000s. I've read some horror stories about some dealers not knowing much about the S2000 and I would feel better if I could get a positive recommendation.
Thanx.

I would highly recommend my guy in Sumter. Turner's Garage. It's kinda in a getto part of town, but he does great work. His name is Wendell Turner. He work's on mine and I have never had an issue. He is very capable as he works on Porsche's, Maserati's, Mercedes, BMW, etc. And his prices are reasonable. He does not like it if you bring your own parts, but he won't take you to the cleaners if he orders something either.

why don't you get the service manual and do the service your self..... save a lot of money and it would be fun and you can learn more about your car. I have an 04 also and i change everything out myself. oil.... tranny oil.. diff fluid... brake pads... i can tell you what is needed for that 60 k service, change all your oil, inspect brake pads, change out your cabin air filters...... s2000 is easy to maintained, and just inspect things that needed to be serviced.

D I Y!!!! FTMFW buy a cheap set of tools from sears and get it done on a weekend. I don't know what I would do if I didn't run a shop and had to bring my car somewhere. I've seen first hand the crooks at dealers private shops and what not. I can honestly say I'm not one of them. Sorry for the lol preaching lol just do it your self.

DIY is definitely the best way to go but if you want to take it to someone I always recommend Brian at Hendrick Honda in Charleston. He's a long time S2K owner himself and a great guy. It won't be cheap but you will get good work done.
