Default abandaned s2k due to snow

I *knew* I shouldn't have gone to the NCR SCCA meeting tonight.... it wasn't really snowing when I got there, and I didn't think it was supposed to start really snowing until midnight... well, when I left at 9, the roads were covered. I live in Efland, so about a 45 minute drive from Raleigh. I slowly creeped along 70 for quite aways, finally having to leave my car at a Citgo, and pay a guy in a 4x4 to take me the rest of the way home. S2000's just aren't made for the snow, especially with the stock s02's. I spun out no less than 3 times... each time, winding up dangerously close to a ditch... the last time, I was just hanging over quite a long drop... which is when I decided to hang it up... it took me FOREVER to get it up the last hill to the Citgo (slid sideways most of the way up), but I was determined not to leave the car on the side of the road. Now I'm severely depressed.... hope nothing happens to my car... It's a 24 hour store, so It should be safe... but... who knows! Oh well, just had to whine a little bit.

I think a few of us have had this kind of experience. I certainly have - got caught at work when the snow came but I made it home (barely). I had snow tires waiting there - wished I had put them on one day sooner. I guess you'll soon be a believer in snow tires, too, or a believer in leaving the car at home if there is even a small chance of snow. Hope your car makes it through it's sleepover.

8-10 inches in Raleigh and still coming down......I'm lovin it. My baby is safe in the garage and ain't goin no where for a few days.....

Everyone be careful, and stay safe. Time to play Halo and Gotham Racing on XBox. That should keep me pretty occupied throughout the day.

Hope your car is ok. Maybe it will stop soon and melt away and you can bring her home again!! Mine is in the garage probably for the next week or so, to make sure all the salt is gone. Hate cleaning that from the bottom of my truck, don't need another one to clean.
Good luck!!

S2K is no longer abandoned! *whew* just drove her home... not a scratch on her! After 3 days of worrying myself sick, I can't believe I'm so lucky!
