Default 6th Annual After Christmas Pinehurst MED

That's right...the time is coming for our 6th annual "After-Christmas" Pinehurst Meet, Eat and Drive! Make plans to attend the very first Carolina gathering of 2009!

When
Sunday, January 4th - 2009 at 11:30am (lunch lasts about an hour or so...the drive is about another hour or so...so we should be wrapped up around 2:30 or so)

Where
Pinehurst Resort - 1 Carolina Vista Drive, Pinehurst, NC

Why
Our 6th annual After Christmas gathering

Dress Code
With Pinehurst being a swanky place, there's a general dress code that we'll need to adhere to. Business casual wear is highly recommended. Please refrain from wearing t-shirts/jeans. I always bring another pair of shoes to switch into when we are ready for the drive... You don't necessarily need to bring your "Sunday Best" to this gathering...but dress appropriately.

Costs
The cost of the meal is around $25 per person and includes a gracious buffet of fine food and champange. You can also order from the menu, but generally the savings won't be more than $5. Most folks stick with the buffet. The quality of the food is fantastic and the ambiance will quickly have you enjoying the company of friends! There are no additional costs for this gathering...only the cost of lunch at Pinehurst.

What to expect
We gather every year for what we call our "After-Christmas" Meet, Eat and Drive. What started nearly 6 years ago continues into 2009 and while we would love to spend time around the holidays...we recognize that our very own families have to come into the picture too. But...we don't wait too long to get into the swing of things and the very first Sunday of January 2009 will have us doing just that!

We'll meet up at the Pinehurst Resort starting at 11:30am and then enjoy a wonderful lunch buffet served graciously within the Carolina Dining Room...we'll then enjoy the charm of Pinehurst as we "catch up" on stories from the holidays and the New Year!

Then...we're off for a great drive that'll get your S2000 remembering those quick reflexes and awesome 9k (8k for you AP2s) redlining!!! No doubt this Meet, Eat and Drive will have you lovin' the start of 2009! I hope you can make it out!

Dress is "business casual." If you want to wear your "Sunday Best," you can. I'll most likely wear slacks and a button up shirt.

You should rally the folks to attend...they'll enjoy it! Not only is it a great meal and experience...but also the drive is very, very nice! VFROOOM and cutuesday did the original route while sheadlee has kept it updated since...the drive is great!!

I usually do not take off work for s2k events but this one looks promising! What better then a simi-formal dinner at a nice place then a great drive afterwards.
