Thumbs up 4.44 gears

So as I posted a few weeks ago I ordered the 4.44 gear set with the hardened diff housing and LSD. How much quicker is this going to make my car with very little mods? I know what a set of gears will do to a car such as a camaro or mustang so I know its going to be different. Just curious as to how different.

Thanks, eric

slight change....

And I know if I wasn't lazy I could search for it, but thought one of you guys could give me a faster response.

There is a guy on craigslist selling an 03 full diff (housing, bearing, gears). Are there different diffs for different model years? Or is it all the same?

Thanks in advance.

"Slight?" Dang but if those two drivers were giving both S's their full-go, then that was a substantial difference IMO. Gears will never equal FI. But they do get the S2000 quickly out of its low-torque-off-the-start-blues

thats pretty substantial difference between the two IMO! I almost went with 3.91 gears with my puddymod diff, but stayed with the 4.10 due to the extra cost. (~500whp turbo ap2)

I have been waiting to see someone with FI go with 3.91 gears. Longer gears are fun for boost.

ha ha,

I meant "slight change" of topic....

And yes gears will make a difference. The company i work for (Getrag pronounced Ghe-trog) makes the cts/solstice rear axle.

3.23
3.73
3.91

Throwing a 3.91 in the stock 08 CTS can ruin some back tires.
