Besides my S, I saw two other silver S2k's at our local track this friday. One had rick's badges and a S2ki.com license plate bracket, but he was leaving when I pulled in and the other was the same one I see all the time, with the SCCA stickers, gutted interior and roll bars. Just wondering whos silver S that was and what he ran the quarter in because somebody mentioned him running.

 

Yeah I was the Silverstone with the black Rick's badges. I saw a S2k coming in but I didnt see where it went or I would have come over. My best run was 13.6 @ 103mph.

Did you have the red Supra parked by the top of the staging area? I only saw that Supra and a white one that ran mid 11's. I only got 4 runs in because the line was so long so I was there for about 3 hours.

 

nah that was another guy that lives in Fayetteville. Mine was parked with my friends, all the fbody guys. haha I was the only import stuck in between tons of camaros/firebirds. I didn't run my car that night. I was riding the bike all night.

 

Yeah I felt like I was one of the few imports amongst hundreds of loud V8's. I was happy to see a couple Supras and some other imports.

 

If the car had a bunch of stickers on it - the guy is my friend stationed at Ft Bragg. The car is stock and virtually gutted.
He's trying to start a racing team he hopes the Army will sponcer.
I can't remember his run time though.

 

reignman, what's your quickest time ever in the quarter, just wondering and what do you have done besides the SC

 

13.6 was actually my quickest time ever. That was only the second time I had been to the track and most other runs I was getting higer 13's and low 14's trying to get my launch down. Im sure I could get lower 13 but I dont drop the clutch because its still stock clutch and I dont want to buy a new one yet. The only other thing I have done is DC headers. Im planning on increasing the boost, adding front mounted intercooler and also custom intake. Then my number should really improve at the track.

 

dumping that clutch is a risk, but if you're willing to take it you'll get some good numbers....jbogg(joey) ran a 13.8 with only AEM CAI at our track but he launches at high rpm clutch drops - I'm like you and afraid to mess up my car so I haven't ran it yet
