We should be able to meet up in hillsborough, its about 15 min extra for us coming from north of raleigh, but that early traffic shouldnt make much difference.

Nope, all are welcome. However, the number of people that show up affects the number of times you'll get to go out on track.
One time we went and it was also Veteran's Day so everyone and their mom had the day off. I've never seen so many people at VIR. The other two times I've been it wasn't all that crowded and you can usually get in 4+ runs throughout the day. In fact the last time we went, towards the end of the day, you could line up as the group in staging as soon as you came off the track.

Yep $25 per wristband and one wristband per session. They will usually let you buy two at the gate, but then you can always buy more once the day progresses. At the gate, they will put everyone in a group designated by letter (A, B, C, D, etc). Usually after lunch enough people have left that the run groups start compressing so that everyone in a, b, and c will be in one. Usually the sessions are an out lap, 2-3 flying laps, and an in.
Also be sure to bring $10 x 2 for the ariel atom and bmw m6 rides. I was sorry I missed the m6 ride last year....which apparently comprised attempting to kill the rear tires and hitting nearly 160 on the back straight.
edit: I usually tell people if you've never done a track day or driven VIR it is 100% worth every penny. For HPDE/VIR veterans don't come expecting those speeds, however it is still way faster than you everget to should drive on the street and so it is still a great day to hang out and drive pretty fast.

Will be keeping a close eye on the weather this week...right now looks like 50% chance of rain friday. That could mean light rain all day or sporadic heavy rain...who knows.
Also, VIR just listed they are now opening the gates at 7:30 and first session at 8. I'm open to input on whether we should move the times up or if it's already early enough
Edit: I guess on Thursday we can make a final call of who's going and where/when we're meeting. Nothing needs to be final until then.

As am I. Chances are most will opt out if there's rain, myself included. As for the meeting up, that line has been excessive the past few times already. Maybe a bit earlier would work, but that is pretty early already. :/
