2006 GPW S2000 For Sale
Hi all,
Reluctantly selling my S2K, so that I can upgrade to something a little larger and more practical for work. Here are the details:
It's a 2006 Grand Prix White/Black Honda S2000, with 78,9xx miles. I purchased the car in January, 2009 from Curry Honda in Atlanta, GA with 36k miles. The car is completely stock. It still has the balance of a 7 year/100k mile certified pre-owned warranty (covers powertrain and mechanical components). Obviously there aren't many options on the S, but the original buyer opted for the trunk-mounted XM antenna, as well as Honda MusicLink system that sits in the glovebox where you can link your iPod to the stereo. I'm not a fan of the Text-to-speech interface that Honda uses with MusicLink, but it serves its purpose, I suppose. I also have the tonneau cover in storage (not pictured) that will come with the car.
Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. The engine has been serviced routinely, and only synthetic oil has been used. The clutch/brake fluid is changed regularly. The clutch and transmission have never been abused (I am good with a manual, and I am the only one who drives it). Interior trim, leather, and vinyl top are always treated with Meguiar's UV protectant containing products. Wheels are in good condition, with a few minor rock chips. Tires have about 30-40% tread life remaining. The service light is on the dash because the car is soon due for an oil change, and will likely have that done this week or next.
The front bumper has some minor rock chips, as would be normal for the mileage. I have the factory touch-up paint - just never got around to filling them in. The driver side could use a new floormat, also. There are two small holes in the vinyl top that are also pictured below. I went through the ringer with my local Honda dealership, as well as the District Service Manager who I met with to complain about this well-known issue with the tops. He offered to pay for half of the top with "goodwill" Honda money, but I was so irate about it that I turned his offer down. I planned to replace the top next year (do-it-yourself install tops sell for around $500 online), but with me selling it, I've decided not to sink the energy and money into it. I put a patch on it myself and that seems to have done the trick. Other than that, the car's in great shape. Sorry for rambling...I just want to make sure I'm disclosing everything.
