2005 VIR 400
Hi, Gang !
Well despite the ominous looking skies, I took a chance and drove up to VIR, for the VIR 400 Grand American Rolex Series race. It did not disappoint!!!
Unfortunately, the rainy weekend made for a rather muddy mess of the parking areas, as well as the camping areas. However, that did not deter the excellent racing on the course.
Those Daytona Prototypes will flat out FLY!!! Would I love to get behind the wheel of one of those. YES!!!! I could be 'slow' in one those too !!!
I will try to post some pictures...spread among a couple of posts.
This poor guy really didn't want to have to park his car in the mud!!!
There I was, behind him...thinking the same thing!
VIR
One of the 'Prototypes'
The actual race winner...I think it did better with the wheels on!
Some of the 'open wheel' cars in the ??2000 series
More of the 2000 series
A few of the Grand Am cars...in action
