Default Free: 4 point harness

Have an outdated Pyrotect harness I am giving away, as I am upgrading the drivers side harness to a Spacro and moving the 6-point on the drivers side to passenger side. Pick up only. I work in Raleigh, but live in Clayton/Smithfield.

Please do everyone a favor and trash the 4-pt harness.

To anyone considering buying 4-pt, please don't. Stick with OEM 3-pt or 5- or 6-pt harnesses.

The anti-submarine strap is an absolutely critical safety component on harness. It prevents passengers from being entirely compressed into the footwell. An EMS friend horrified me describing aftermath of a submarined passenger.

The reason OEM 3-pt systems do not need an anti-submarine strap is they do not hold your shoulders against the seat. The delayed cinching of the shoulder strap in 3-pt is deliberate. It allows the body to double over the lap belt to prevent submarining. (Also, a good reason not to defeat this feature in 3-pt.)
