Coincidentally I went out in a REVO tuned GTI Edt 30 on Friday night. It has been lightly fettled, stage 2 + Miltek + Air Intake and was dyno'd with about 330bhp.

The car has DSG and was pretty awesome. Of course traction will break easy in the dry, especially coming out of bends (obviously no LSD), but hit a straight and nail it above 30mph and it's amazing, persistent acceleration with no pauses due to the DSG box.

I really liked it, but couldn't help think that it would be so much better in an S3 with Haldex... but the GTI does feel like a nicer car to drive than the S3 IMO.

It compared quite well to a 135i with 350bhp / 500ish NM but ultimately not as quick.

Will need to speak to my friend to confirm details.

Can't seem to find REVO's website when I search via Google, but I know Lincoln Audi provide the REVO service.

Superchips also provide BlueFin for the S3 for only

www.bsr.se

Click the UK flag for english, that's the one I have which was pretty decent on the Volvo, I also got a decent deal from Nemesis on the item which was less than all the other ones

I reckon the S-Tronic box will make the S3 superb to drive. Stock it's pretty good though so with a remap it should be proper insane and with the mili exhaust and a nice induction kit it'll make a lovely noise too!

It's booked in with them for the 20th ..... will update after that

Moff,

For some reason Superchips and Audi S3's don't seem to get on - when I looked at the forums there were many negative comments from owners disgruntled at rolling road results showing only marginally more than their cars were producing as standard ! I don't know why but there is obviously something they are doing wrong with the S3 - or not as well as say Revo, GIAC or APR. To be fair to SC they have been trying hard to address any owners concerns and their aftersales seems encouraging if needed.

Having said that, the S3's seem to be producing up to 295 bhp as standard instead of Audi's claimed 260-265 bhp

APR reckon their remap on an S3 works really well and is at least a match for Revo. GIAC seems the one most people are happy with. I think the GIAC, Revo and APR maps all make around 320-330bhp. The SC one seems to be about 290bhp from what I can tell on the forums.

Maybe it is also that the S3 is in a higher state of tune as standard compared to an Edition 30 or Leon Cupra ? The tuners are not having issues getting those cars to over 300bhp .... just that the S3 seems to return less as it starts off higher .....
