Why the petrol price apathy?

http://www.about-credit-cards.co.uk has a table showing you cashback offers, and the only one that offers anything is American Express. And nobody takes that.
I think Tesco still do the penny off per litre if you buy

New season of Big Brother's started, or something.
Basically, no-one GAF, which is why MOST services are expensive & appalling here.
Either that, or a nation of closet pillow-biters who secretly enjoy the daily dry bumming.

What can you do ??
I try and only use Shell, but that's no good as the nearest is 20 miles away.
Their rewards together with CC cashback seems about the best.
I just tend to buy U/L when SU/L gets too expensive.
There is a BP garage just round the corner that is generally 10p / litre more than any other local garages, people still use it though, strange.
I guess a lot of people don't even look at the price anymore.

The answer is to vote for a party that promises to reduce fuel duty considerably. There aren't any? Bugger.
Given all the global warming nonsense, and this goverments determination to tax us into oblivion, I think we should be thankful the situation for car enthusiats isn't a lot worse.

So most of us just accept the crazy prices at the pumps.
How are we going to react when it starts to affect the cost of everyday goods due to transportation costs? What level will fuel prices have to reach for us to see that impact?
