Default What's going on with the price of petrol now?

Just been past a Shell and saw unleaded at 81.9 p/litre.

What's that all about and how come it's so cheap?

Oil prices are (relatively) low at the moment, but I would imagine the biggest controlling factor is the

I still don't get how diesel can be 6p or so more expensive than petrol, in some places it's more expensive than optimax.

I would have thought that diesel would be cheaper to manufacture as it is far less refined then petrol.

Not so sure it is, with these 'clean' diesels they allegedly make.

But there's more politics to the price, than the actual production cost.

A failing local garage may be instructed by the oil company to reduce the price to cost for a day, in order to stimulate sales.

It's a dirty game.
