I seem to recall a website were you can put in the registration and it tells you the make and model of the vehicle it's on.

I can't find it and need to check a reg for insurance purposes.

Believe it or not I tried there before here but all I keep getting is personalised registrations.

Don't worry - found it on the Directgov website in amongst the vehicle taxing page.

EDIT - that one doesn't help as it needs the reg, make and model and as I believe our driver has taken down the model incorrect, I can't go any further.

There is a website were you put in a reg and it tells you what the vehicle is without any further details - does anyone have that link?

Soulcrew - see above - it needs make and model and I believe my driver has got it wrong and insurers are telling me that they do insure that reg but it's not a Renault Megane and until I tell them the correct make and model they won't do anymore (bloody red tape hilter type people!!!) *breathe*

Thanks Mole but after paying my £3.50 for a search on that it just tells me that it was insured at the time of the accident but not the make and model. That is the crucial bit for this claim.

It's apparently a Ford Focus and not a Renault Megane. Not much difference
