Fortunately no sane person wants to be seen in that thing....

we used to have a hilux surf ssrx 3.0, it was truely awesome. only got rid as diesel prices rose and rose and got ridiculous, and it never got better than around 25mpg. loved driving it though.

Bear in mind the S2000 was a second car, changed to the Lotus then to the Porsche, settled with the Porsche at the moment, it has a good blend of everything I'm looking for aside pehaps for the image. The 987 is subtley different to the 986 and a little more to my taste. Comfortable, plently of power, excellent chassis, very neutral handling, can be a little numb but very predictable. I would have each again for different reasons.
The 111R

The 987

Thanks Moff! it's one of eight cars in the houshold at the moment, bought for one of the kids as a 'bargain' it's in the garage now with HGF and hydraulic tappet problems.

It is a totally diff car to the S2000 .. and the beating I gave it over Sailsbury Plain in the first month, and it didn't complain once.

[quote name='Blurter' date='Jan 26 2009, 01:28 PM'] Rolling start from say, 20mph in 2nd gear.

Need to eliminate driver skill; or lack thereof

I like the 987

But I really don't think the turbo wheels suit it.

The wheels actually look better in the flesh but I know where you are coming from (bling), but they are light and the correct fittment for the car. The 911 Turbo wheels would be too wide, these are the boxster/cayman fittment and with the N rated tyres a big improvment on stock.
