White, red etc not my age group ...
For me Porsche was always mid blue metallic finish
Due to the first one I rode round California in the early '70s
Watergate live on breakfast TV should place the date more precisely
Now if only this one didn't have those yellow race-ready ceramic calipers
But that said, my ex Maca mobile he had painted the calipers yellow so there *is* a precedent ...

Rog, I very nearly bought a Speed Yellow 993 but was ultimately put off by stories of how difficult 911s of any ilk are to shift in that colour. You reduce your resale market hugely.
That may or may not be an issue - but be warned!

Regarding brake calipers:-
Black are the basic brakes for non S models
Red are upgraded brakes for S models (larger discs)
Yellow are for the Ceramic brake set
Colour wise - White with Red calipers after that cobalt blue with red

And what is wrong with a red one? I see a 997 Turbo near my home and it looks stunning. You don't have to be very young to drive a red car. I steered away from red myself when looking for my car but ended up with red as the condition was very good and don't regret the decision at all. Go and see a Guards Red 997 TUrbo - you will fall in love.

I'd go for Guards red or the white, maybe even black if you enjoy washing your car! A guy near me has an white 997 Turbo Cabrio with full Techart kit including the 20" black wheels with polished rims...
