I managed to sneak out to the Elan Valley and Black Mountain Road this weekend, sadly the weather wasn't as good as in the other pics but for the sake of a 2 and a half hour drive, its worth it when you get a nice clear section of flowing road
I have now driven the Black Mountain Road in my EP3, 350Z and S2000, the S2000 is so suited to these roads.

I did the black mountain pass again last week, as I had annual leave to use. Took my super duper e36 328i this time. Lovely road!
Also had a chance to fly my drone around..

Along with cheddar gorge and the A39 to Lynton, one of my fav roads. And not too bad from Bristol.

After spending lots of hours planning the trip I have finally come up with a route which involves 3 days of driving.
I could do with some advice on the first leg of the journey though, basically we are heading down to Cardigan (first overnight stay) and I have planned to go down the coast via the A493, now I haven't been on the road before and I am wondering whether it's worth going down or should I go more inland instead? On the return leg home on the 3rd day the route does involve the A470 which I have read is a good road.
So here is my current plan:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3 return leg
