Default VW Up!

I rather like this; a base model with wind-up windows and no tat can be bought for under £8k. As it only weighs 855 kg, its 59 bhp three-pot may not be too much of a handicap.

Slovakia and 'elsewhere' is all I could find mention of.

A South American plant would be good bet too I guess.

Wow, looks good!

0-60 in 15 seconds, but who cares.

Should be a good seller!

Clearly a rival for the Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107.

Not going to set the World alight, but I like cheap cars that are well packaged and well designed.

Isn't there a Bentley, Bugatti or a Porsche version yet?

There is some clever (space-related) engineering, a bit like a latter day FIAT 128.

At least it avoids the pukey-cutseyness of BLT-community wagens like the Beetle, MINI & 500.

So like the Maxi, it will only appeal to science teachers.

looks like a great city car.

8k aint half tempting, and likely a bit less for the seat/skoda alternatives....
