Steve54 - "Its better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all"
I tend to live by that slogan, noted & taken on board - I really love the mean aggressive lines of the Cerbera but the horror stories of them puts me off so i think that model will be ruled out, the Tuscan which I almost bought when i bought my Boxster S IMO scared the hell out of me on the test drives that I had so thats a no brainer, Ive got a feeling that in the not too distant future I may go for the Tamora as they seem to get rave reviews and have a good a@se on them aswell for those looking at its behind but then again mr sensible may rear its head and go down the 911 route - the dilemma of cars of what to buy is a nitemare, theres always a horror story or negatives to find in call cars, weighing up the pros and cons just takes its time i guess

Dex,
Get a TVR, you've got to try one, as a driving machine not much comes close, the brakes, noise, steering and shove of the Tamora have to be tried once in your life. Your not a hard core petrol head unless you've had a TVR imo.
Regarding the Porsche comments, my Tamora was quicker on paper, but I know I

If the car will be a weekend toy go for it!!.....
I used to think they were desirable but 'crap'....I've changed my mind now....dodgy panel gaps?...who gives a ?....loose trim?....who cares...you are looking outside not at the ash tray
When I had the Ferrari in the garage I noticed inconsistent panel gaps....badges that were 'off'....but in the same way as the TVR it really is not the point
The driving experience must always take centre stage when you are talking about a toy which of course the TVR...any TVR must be considered as being

I wish, no I'm going for a Cayman (cue groan) and if it's nothing less than amazing, I'll chip it in for a GT3
For one brief second I though you were getting a Cayenne!!!!!!!!!

well i am have that itch this year. I've had the S for 5 years now and it's no longer a daily driver, barely does 2-3k a year. Part of me thinks do i need the bulletproof reliability?
i've always wanted a TVR.. that noise, that brutality.. it's me. I've always liked Ferraris.. maybe it's the price/performance but I've never lusted after one (lets be clear i can't afford anything other than shite in that dept)..
maybe this year will be the one.. i've been pondering a bike but after seeing some guy in the hospital with a totally incapacited right arm from a bike off i've really pulled back from that, i know what a twat i am.. i'd die and while it would be the way to go i'm not ready yet
