Ive noticed a number of S2K owners moving across to the world of Trevs and wondered what the honest opinions on them were and what the ownership of them is really like. Ive naturally heard all the gruesome stories of them breaking down and being unreliable etc but the idea of driving something with that sound, power and look is tempting me. Ive got my eyes on a T350 or Cerbera but I dont know anyone thats ever driven or owned one before. Any honest thoughts on these would be much appreciated. Hopefully tho its a TVR question and not an S2K question it wont upset the applecart.

Hee hee, the S2ki TVR boys have told their story on a thread a few months ago - its an honest account which put me off TVRs for now

Just keep an eye on the Pistonheads TVR forum, that should be enough to convince you to keep the S for now

I agree, i had the option of moving to a Tuscan S and a Tamora while selling my VXT, i didn't hence buying a S

The problem is build quality, i don't fancy a engine rebuild hanging over my head if i bought a TVR.

Can't fault to drive though, nasty in the wet

As the S is a daily driver the trev would have to be to reliability is the one thing that holds me back to

That and I dont have bottomless pockets to keep it on the road

New Marcus gt2 has tvr looks, lightweight and strong reliable engine.

TVR (with warranty) is a good move if it's not your only means of transport.

I'd have one in a flash if I had a garage... probably be more reliable than a german car

Having said that, I have a hankering for the newer ones which are out of my price range just now.
