I did one for my 21st in an Elise at Thruxton and gave me the track day bug. I was VERY surprised how relaxed they were and keen for me to drive it enthusiastically. It wasn't rev limited and the instructor was excellent (he was only 17 and the British kart champ, forgot his name now). Aside from the straights we were much quicker than the other chaps in the astons and ferraris on track at the same time, so my money would be spent on an elise (or similar) day, rather than, as others have suggested, a rev limited supercar day.

To be fair, I wouldn't let some 'erbert rag my* £100k ferrari around a track for £150. He can sit it in and take for a miss daisy drive for that yes, but not stretch it's legs.

Whereas an elise or, made for it.

*just for clarity, I don't own a £100k Ferrari
