I dunno, I thought the FXCS thing was awesome!
I did wonder when they introduced it if they were going to say that Ferrari wouldn't let them take it round the track. Obviously that question's been answered. I can't believe how seriously people are taking this "Michael Schumacher is The Stig" business.

schumacher was only there to drive the fxx, ferrari keep them etc etc and were hardly going to let any tom dick or harry drive it, was cool though and keeps people guessing

Well I thought it was great, yes same old format but for Sunday evening TV - you can't get much better!!
I am a care enthusiast, but I don't watch it for that as that isn't their target market!
The 1949 task was brill and so was the Schumacher / FXCS was awesome. I guessed it would whoop the other time as there was no way Ferrari would send one of their cars over to just take part

Good harmless entertainment as always.
Love the XK120 and have seen the Tornado a couple of times, one of my dad's friends did some work on it. Good to see a race on home turf, and a bit more interesting than usual.
Schumacher helped develop the FXX didn't he? I imagine one of the pre-requisites for Ferrari allowing it round the track would be that he would have to drive it - blistering lap time nontheless. But he's not the Stig, i can't believe anyone would think he was.

Light entertainment PL - not correct in our pedantic minds
I can't see how ayone would believe Shoemaker was The Stig. The end sequence tells you that anyway.
The race was ok but was a bit shallow - they could have delved into them a bit more.

The sound of the FXX was spine-tingling... worth 'listening' to the show for that alone.
The chat between Clarkson and Schumacher however was cringe-inducing. And I'm somewhat ashamed to admit to thinking what fun it would have been had Clarkson tripped and fell into the open firebox of the steam engine...
