Tesla v Top Gear

Maybe you've out grown top gear?
I still enjoy watching it, it beats most of the other dull and unininteresting rubbish on the telly and it's loosely based about cars too. Most things on TV are staged, even the live stuff to an extent - otherwise the program would be 12 hours long

I for one am definitely fed up of Top Gear's staging... It's been the same for the last few series now in that most of the time they're not even funny! Just variations on stunts they've pulled before... Just cringeworthy! This format of TG is well past it's sell by date now...

However, there is something compelling about watching the show go into meltdown, and finding out how bad those appalling "challenges", that are almost too cringeworthy for words, can get.

Happy to help. If you feel compelled to watch, don't feel compelled to bitch about it though.

Funnily enough, after years of trying to mimic Top Gear, Fifth Gear are positioning themselves as the car show for the 'petrolhead enthusiast'.
I watched the first in their new series the other night. The show seems to be shorter and they have cut out all the larking about crap and seem to be simply doing reviews.
Only problem the other night is that they managed to turn a good idea into ratsh1t by doing it incorrectly. They did a lap in the GTR of the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, first with all the FREDs on, then with them off to determine whether man was still quicker than machine.
Not a bad idea for an item, unfortunately they had Plato do the lap with the FREDs on and Tiff did the lap with them off. Waste of farking time then !
