Modern paint - and especially the clearcoats are just NOT resistant to this stuff, i think the paint process changed to be more eco friendly .... net result is it's less durable.

Autoglym do special bird wipe kits - effectively wet wipes.

I keep a few packs in the secret compartment

Wow. we always have wet wipes to hand (2 babies), so will remember that one.

I bet AutoGlym are not 80p for 80 though (sainsburys littleones)

If it's that bad (the paint blobs), after a week i'd be smoothing off with a very fine glass paper (wet & dry), then a couple of passes of my DA with Nano tech P3.

Taking care, you just cannot go wrong.
