Stick or twist - M5

2 people have said Allroads now.
We have friends with an Allroad, same age and mileage as our Legacy (54 plate, 65k miles).
The Allroad is less economical (despite being a diesel, our Leggy is petrol), has something major go wrong with every 6 months or so, looks very tatty inside and cost more to buy.
Plus, it's crap to drive.
Wouldn't touch them personally.

Why not get something like a Mini, then swap with Mrs Moggy when you need to tow?
Focus probably would but I don't want another.

Or an old beavertail tow truck.
We would have done something like this (still contemplating a transit at the moment) but access to mine is tight (plenty of room to park a truck once you're in, but a bugger to get one down the drive) - share the costs of keeping a dedicated race truck on the road and have whatever car you fancy for the rest of the time.
If not, do be aware that the double cab things are still only 4x4 pickups and not much fun for anything but towing really, the Landy is great, but you wouldn't want to spend 3 hours on a motorway in it.

There is a small visitors car park about 50yds from my house. I think there's about 15 spaces and there's generally 3-4 free. I think it would be pushing my luck to leave a tow car there. We had a few people whinge when we left the trailer in one of the spaces for a few days.
Lee has no room, he lives on a dwarfs street.
The Legacy is generally used for long trips these days.

Has anyone suggestions? I was thinking of one of those Mitsubishi or Nissan truck type things, with the double cab (forget the name).
Have you tried sticking a fork in your eye?
This may not what you want to read, but get amother bloody Subaru!
