Speed camera fight goes to Europe
From the BBC Website:
Link to news item
Abstract:
Two motorists, with the backing of Liberty, are taking a case to the European Court of Human Rights which argues that the current legislation (section 172 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988) breaches the right against self-incrimination.
Naturally, the Dept of Transport is to contest the claim.
Will be interesting to see how this develops.

I thought that Idris Francis was currently having this topic heard right now already?
edit - after reading the link... Same case. It's been on its way to EHCR for about 4 years
