Default Sold my S2000, what next?

Hello all. After a great ownership experience with my S2000, I've now sold it on. My wife and i now work in the same building, which we can walk to in ten minutes, so having two cars is really a waste of money even though the S2000 was great fun. Therefore, I'm now on the lookout for a one car solution. Here's a few things that I'd like for the next car.

Fuel economy must be OK (maybe 30 mpg on a run).
Comfortablish for long journeys (saying that the S2000 was OK).
Must have rear seats for the odd ferrying of family. We also have a dog, so a hatch would be a bonus.
I'd like RWD or failing that a decent FWD, or 4WD chassis that can go a bit sideways.
Not too old 2002 or newer.

Too slow sorry. If they had the later 260hp engine they'd be perfect!

That's like cutting your nob off and then asking what you're gonna replace it with. Talk about doing things arse/face!

RWD carthorse or a 911 I suppose.

You want power and 30mpg?!!!

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...cleRegLetter=02

Audi S3?

As I understand it, they can be easily mapped for more power, but you're better asking someone like moff.

And I doubt you'll get anywhere near 30mpg.
