I'd sort the a/c and alarm and leave the cosmetic stuff.
The kind of person who buys this kind of car isn't going to be as anal as someone buying a sports car.
Then sell privately.
However, it may be less hassle to PX if you make sure you get a good deal. Or you could try webuyanycar.com that should give you somewhere close to the px price

I'd advertise it as is, not many cheaper cars on the market due to the scrappage scheme and it may sell quickly, try this until you see the car you want and then you can get a trade in value that might be ok.?
