Default Selling car on ebay

I'm currently selling my CRX on ebay and have received an offer from one of the bidders (currently the highest) which exceeds my original reserve price. Whilst I would be prepared to accept the offer i'm not sure how ethical this is to end the auction early and whether there would be any repercushions for doing so.

Would a contract still exist between myself and the prospective purchaser for the price I ended the auction at?

If I do decide to accept this offer how do I end the auction and would there be further fees to pay to ebay?

Should I let the auction run its course?

If you choose to end now, you can end and sell to the highest bidder at the current price. So if the current price is what you want for it, go for it.

If the current price isnt right, get someone to bid

It's on here and Pistonheads but I I haven't stated that on the auction (just notified and redirected from these sites to the auction).

I thought ending the auction early due to this reason was contravening the user agreement for ebay?

Friend's account, eh? Going to pay by cheque as well is he??

There's no final value fees on eBay Motors so they don't care what you sell it for.

I'd get him to pay a deposit before pulling the advert.

We've agreed on a cash in hand deal and the buyer is traveling from Sheffield so my instinct tells me this is Kosher.

I will ask for a deposit though.

Ok here's hoping it goes through without any problems [holds breath]

get one of your mates to bid and get the money up!! Seems a bit silly to tell the person selling the car what their maximum bid is!!
