Hasn't this law been in affect for at least a couple of years now?

Doesn't seem to make much difference where I live, there are a still loads of crappy bangers driving around.

The show last night was a repeat, it was on last year or maybe the year before the first time.

I read that there are some pretty expensive cars awaiting crushing locally.

It seems like gratuitous vandalism to me.

Kind of contradicts the argument for bringing back hanging, etc, if 'they' resort to destructive acts.

Why not wait 2 weeks, and then try and flog the car for 2 weeks .. and then crush it if it's not sold.

Storage costs probably.

But that would require someone in the Police force having some common sense..........so there's no danager of that happening

Yes that does seem the logical thing to do. If a lack of storage space is a problem, then crush the oldest sh1test cars first. Failing that, you could sell them off for salvage.

I believe they are filming another series at the moment. Not sure when it will be shown though. It took ages for the last series to go from filming to showing. Just smile if you get pulled over in Portsmouth and surrounding areas..... and keep your eye out for a Black Skoda Octavia............

Seems to me this should be a pretty good deterrent if used properly. There's no excuse - the car shouldn't be on the road if it doesn't have tax, it won't get tax unless it needs and has an MOT and it's illegal to drive without at least 3rd party insurance. Crush them all without mercy - that should put a stop to some offenders
