Symonds statement / apology reads as though it was Piquet's idea!
Something along the lines of, "when Piquet suggested it I should have stopped it right there", which would implicate Piquet and put paid to the "nazi guard defence" of I was only following orders.
People have asked where Piquet's backbone was when he was told to crash (as they did with the bloodgate rugby player). Where was his backbone when he signed up to a 15yr + contract give Briatore 20% of his earnings?

was listening to the practice earlier, Jackie Stewart was on talking about the rights and wrongs of the saga, he mentioned that the first rumours that the FIA knew something was amiss were in November last year and the FIA had even more information by April.

I completely forget to watch first practice, but usually they have Anthony Davidson and it's quite entertaining.
