Hey I'm working on it Had a productive day with an instructor yesterday (ok bar the 3 hours the 7 conked out for!) at Pembrey - stepped up a leve lin my driving but not sure I can maintain it with otehr cars in close proximity and without someone shouting in my ear !
I jsut want the easiest solution to get the marks off - quicker the better so long as it doesn't damage the paint - Nick what sort of spray wax do you mean? I thought the Autoglym stuff was a pita to get marks off.
Graham - what degreaser? It is easy peasy?

Oh and I've got a new colour scheme planned for next season if I can find a friendly bodyshop - need someone to do a mockup for me though in paintshop or something!

It is waxed, but it makes no difference to the number of rubber spots, and the faff of keeping waxing it is really not worth it !
White spirit sounds an option though

I once washed a car in after it got sprayed with tar
Still use it on the S for tar before I clay bar it.
Cleaned up very well.
Just rinse it off after with some soapy water.

What colour was the BaT stickered one? If it had a silver backend and a darker body then probably mine (no. 36), or if it was white a bit like a pizza delivery van then it was a friend of mine - had engine problems in the afternoon so missed a couple of hours from just after lunch til about 3.45 But picked up the pace after that
This is mine although if you see it from the back it's Silver! (haven't had a replacement back panel sprayed):
I did see the R26R - I think we came past you once? Nice car! Wish I'd realised it was you, would've said hello
Are you local to there, we're racing in a couple of weeks?

Yep, thats the BaT'd up one alright, you were one of the quick ones alright! You did come past, when you were chasing that yellow Mini I think - he was on it too.
Pembrey is our local track so I might see you racing. I will make sure I say hello next time, I was (as usual these days) answering lots of questions about the Megane.
