Removing rubber spots?
The 7 suffers from getting covered in little spots of tyre rubber - over the course of a day it ends up looking polka dotted which is no good when it should be clean and shiny for race day.
I don't have the time to spend ages claying it after every day's use, and I don't need super duper protect the paint stuff (It'll probably get resprayed at the end of the year), but I need something that will easily get the rubber spots off - any ideas?
It takes quite a while with soapy water and a microfibre cleaning cloth, and can't really use abrasive cloths as it marks the paint horribly and damages the stickers.

All race cars sufer from this.
good wax before taking to the track
regular cleaning between sessions
use a spirit based cleaner to remove the rubber then wax immediatly.

Spirit based cleaner? Like what? That sounds like an option! If you could just wipe it down to get the spots off that would be great.
It's only really an issue when we test the day before a race - e.g. Pembrey we're testing friday & saturday morning, then qualy, then a double header on the sunday. Would like to clean it up before qualy and then before the races...

I would suggest a rag soaked in white spirit left on the offending patches for a minute to soften it then gently rub it off.
Quick wash then a wax/polish to make it easier to remove next time!

I use a de-greaser, the rubber comes off without too much effort.
It doesn't seem to harm the paintwork but it's looking so bloody awful now I wouldn't notice anyway
Respray at the end of the season
