Is that the people who bet on VW price plummeting and were left wondering what happened when the price went up?

"Although Porsche is still being investigated by German financial regulator BaFin for its conduct in not disclosing its total share holdings and options during a recent trading spree, the company rejects any accusation that it is responsible for the losses experienced by short sellers."

The belief in the city is that Porsche knew *exactly* what they were doing.

There was a documentary on BBC2 about this a month or two back - judging from that, I suspect that you're probably right and Porsche knew exactly what it was doing, Steven.

Still, it's hard to have ANY sympathy at all for the hedge funds et al who got burnt, given how they usually make their money and their own general disregard for anything other than their own bottom line.

I have to agree with that.

But I don't think it was a smart move from Porsche, pissing off the people most likely to buy their cars.

I agree; both on its dubious legality and the raping of the shitty boys that worship its products so!

However, the shitty works on a cannon-fodder principle and like Kurt Cobain, has no memory.

They'll be conpicuously consuming the most conspicuous Porsches again as soon as the next K-upwave begins...

Almost felt like rushing out & buying a Boxster S after I watched that program!

You betcha!

Funny how all RWD hatchbacks tend to look shit - apart from the Rover SD1.

Mind you, the smaller Triumph SD2 proves the point so successfully, the SD1 doesn't count!
