I managed to set off a camera within 15mins of picking up a car I'd just imported.

It's a shame I didn't have the the number plates fitted at that point.

Wish I'd thought of that!

I think I might have got pinged by a mobile camera the other day. 30mph on a wide industrial road, think I may have been doing an indicated 35-36 in my gf's Seicento. Oh the shame....! Part of me wonders why they weren't catching the umpteen cars a minute ignoring the 20mph past the end of my road, where there are plenty of kids, dogs, various potential injuries. But hey, I still should've been watching my speed more carefully, rather than the numpty thinking about pulling out right in front of me, shouldn't I... Rant over

Bad luck mate. 11 years and I've not had a thing, so it happens to the best of us.

I've had to do several 800 mile round trips recently

Unfamiliar roads so I know the camera risk

Amazingly, my number plates had become totally encrusted in road grime about a week before the first journey

I must get round to washing them

Rover or Triumph?

Haven't seen either in years.

Really like them, for some reason...

A Vitesse. I am reverting to my youth and acquiring more and more rusty heaps. I should have 20 or so old wrecks by the end of the year but my betting is that they will outperform any savings account over the next few years. All a bit o/t so I shall back out of this thread now.

Pritstick and a big leaf can also obscure your plate, so I'd avoid doing that. Because that's illegal.
