I think people have finally got used to the fact that many cars are diesel - and police officers realise how stupid they look sitting with their wrongly fueled car waiting for recovery ....

The MPA won't let uniform have petrol stuff ....Traffic get nice 530d's and Area cars are now 325d's (which apparently will easily keep with a Focus ST !)
Response cars are 1.7 Diesel Astras .....
I have to say I have been really impressed with the 530d .... and even found the 325d quite amusing
I must be getting old !

My boss at a firm I used to work at left to pursue a product designed to prevent misfueling. Interestingly enough, they chose the police for their field trials. Probably because they are among the worst offenders.

Seem to recall a Ford advert recently with different fuel tank nozzle openings for different fuels - always wondered why no-one has done it before.
I had a nightmare with our fleet drivers about 5 years ago when we moved from petrol to diesel - 13 vehicles in the first month. Doesn't happen much nowadays thankfully as they have got use to it but I've nearly done it when I've taken a pool car out and gone to put V Power in it.
