Decent result from the dealer! It can make all the difference to the ownership thing. Could explain why sales have been rocketing.
I was sure Honda used to do this but lately I'm convinced they no longer care hence our dealer network is now shit.
Johns, the only solution I can think of is removing the OEM head unit completely which annoys the hell out of me as the ipod integration wasn't a cheap option. if I had known I'd have stuck with the BOSE speaker system and then taken the absolute basic stereo with the intention of removing it for a nice double din like the Kenwood.

Perhaps it's just this specific dealer, like I say they've been doing better and better since the recession bit, I'm sure the summer will be hard for them though.

my new vehicle jinx is getting caught speeding within a week of getting it.
happened to me 4 times now
got caught in my ibiza cupra the night i got it
got caught on my ninja 636 the day after i got it
got caught in my mr2 turbo within a week of having it
got caught on my R1 within no time
and got caught in my s2k with no MOT within a week of buying it (long story mainly down to the previous owner being a friends brother and me taking his word for it that the car was MOT'd and that he'd send it onto me when he was back in the country).
i have the worst luck ever, or maybe i just do stupid things

Removing the stereo was the only option I could see as well, but I'm not going to do that.
Apparently there are also issues getting a non oem stereo to work with the bose stuff.
There must be something out there that will work with the standard stereo, I'll keep looking.
Have fun with it.

So, tyre sorted, happy with dealer for a change all's well that ends well. Car is still great and makes a nice noise, particularly when changing gear.

My bro just picked up a new S3. I have to say i'm gobsmacked by the A-B pace. The grip it generates is incredibly. Around a typical corner it's at least 25% faster than my car.
The way it gathers pace is awesome!
