Petrol & Diesel Prices
Funny goings-on up here in the North with fuel prices; diesel is 10p per litre more than regular unleaded. Unleaded is creeping down in price with diesel going up.
The best price is at my local Shell garage; it's 128.9 litre for unleaded - diesel is 10p more.
I'm seeing price variations almost every time I drive past the local garages - and I'm certain the price on Friday creeps up marginally too, with a slight reduction on Monday.
I guess with the POS technology allowing very rapid price changes, one could increase the price when there's a queue at the garage and reduce it as demand wanes...

Huge demand for diesel across Europe has driven up the price, apparently, still it means I can buy Tesco Momentum for the S at a price on par with the price for dirty stuff from Shell for the van.

Diesel is cheaper to refine/make than petrol, but it's obvious a lot of people have diesel and the government has pushed up prices. diesel cars share more of the market share vs petrol cars and I think it's over 50% of cars in the UK are diesel.

LOL.
I think it has been said by quite a few on here in the past...
That this will happen once the majority switch to small diseasal ecoboxes.
Wait until the electric cars gain a foothold. And watch your domestic bills fly sky high.

I think we have old refineries which arent efficient and cannot meet demand so we have to import
Running a diesel is a dubious economy around town i think but the torque of our golf does make it an easy town car
I might get an r32 instead next tho

the future is a daily econobox ( made that word up)
with something tasty (or things) for the weekend
it's a great formula:
comfort and economy for Monday to Friday commuting when you might as well be tied to the other cars with a length of string and 'performance' is pointless
mentalism at the weekend when the roads are 50/70% quieter
it is indeed a racing certainty that once governments get you where they want you, the next step is to rape you
it will happen with electric cars or other low emission vehicles and with a whole range of other essentials
just wait until they've got everyone on a water meter paying for the stuff both unit
