Parent and Child spaces
#103
If you do have children the years when you have young ones with you as dependents, unable to cross the road or a car park safely without close supervision, is probably 25% of your life at most i.e. from 25 to 45 years of age and assuming a life span of 80 years.
The time when you qualify, as parents with dependent children in tow, is maybe 1/3rd of your driving life, i.e. 20 years assuming you learn at 20 and stop at 80 years old.
So, a minority.
But no doubt the supermarkets will have done their homework and figure that this sector spends most on convenience and high profit stuff. Perhaps we have someone from the retail sector with the data? IGD subscribers?
As to the parking, as one of the majority and seeing two examples of sloppy parking I have a sneaking sympathy for the asshole in the Focus nipping into the huge gap you both left. Sorry if that isn't what the OP wants to hear but, as I said, given a privilege it's as well to be defensive when exercising it, given the resentment of the majority who are 'under-privileged'. Park safely out there (remember New York Blues? cracking police show - I have lifted the catch phrase )
edit:
Incidentally I would imagine the demographic on here reflects the population at large, although those enclined to take part in this debate may be those most opinionated, not the silent majority. Top marks to Phil for instigating a good discussion. One on which a lot of people, from both sides, have strong views.
