This has been around a while but I have never seen it in action. Incedently if you drive over 190 (I think its that speed) the camera wont be able to pick you up as you are going to fast

Reflective films, polishes and inserts have been around for a while - not sure how legal or effective they are?
Other gizmos I have seen also include mounting a (camera) flashgun to a photocell trigger into the back bumper. The idea being that the flash will over expose the camera shot. I would put money on that one being illegal!

Isn't that stuff just like hairspray?? All it does is makes the plate opaque and repels the light in different directions making it appear like a flash.
The company that deals with the pictures enhance them anyway so they can see straight through the light and pick out the numbers.
Usual american rip off technique.

I saw something on the telly about this the other day. Plod have always maintained these things don't work but on one of those traffic cop shows they showed an unmarked UK car following a bloke down the road. You could not read his plate on their in car camera so they pulled him and threw the book at him.
