The guy in the paper put his back.

He said it had a scar on it from when it was previously
tied to a tree and escaped !!

That is know as the fish of two halves from Luke Moffats lake in France. It did 85lb if I remember correctly. Its the rod caught world record carp.

You can eat them but as they spend all their lives grubbing in silt for food, at the bottom of a lake, their flesh tastes 'muddy'. It needs to be soaked and is rather unpleasant if not handled correctly before cooking.

I remember Tesco selling Mirror carp a little while back.
