Now where did I leave that engine?
Saw this on eBay and thought I would share, didn't put it in the non S2000 section as most of it (cost wise) has to be S, with a few body mods.
It's described as a fast road car, no kidding!

Yeh it was on ebay last week, I think it got up to just over £13k. I don't know why it is re-listed again.
But this has to be the ultimate Westfield. I imagine it is pretty scary to drive, a track car if there ever was one!

MK Sportscars who make the Indy (Similar to the Westfield above) have got a Supercharged S2000 demonstrator running 350BHP.
My brother had a trip out in it and was suitably scared sh**less !
So much so, he's building one with a Fireblade engine.
I think the S2000 engine will become more and more popular.

Yeh I agree, I want a Westie with the XE engine...but looking at this, gotta say it would be much more tempting to build one with the F20C when they start coming down in price/experience and knowledge with them increases.

The engine design is over ten years old.

What has age of the engine design got to do with knowledge and experience of putting them in a Westfield? There are not that many people who have done this type of build, that is what I meant. Certainly in comparison to a XE/Zetec/Duratec build. I want to put a F20C in a Westfield/MK but I want to wait a little bit longer for more people to do it so you don't get any nasty surprises.

Its a lot heavier than most other four pots, so you have differing suspension set ups. Engine mounting is different, gearbox mounts, a lot of the stuff is not off the shelf like with the other engines.
The sump is too deep as well, you have to dry sump the engine.
Plus you have to stiffen the chassis to cope with the extra power. I want to use someone else's experiences of doing this to my advantage when I build mine. Don't think that is unheard of!?
So it is quite tricky!

The F20C is very popular for kit cars, hence why its still quite a pricey engine on the s/h market. Even the S2000 seats are popular, I've seen someone install them in their TVR Cerbera as well as other Honda's (Del Sol's, preludes etc) and other jap cars (MX5s etc)
