Of course, it looks phenomonal.

However, it's £80k. Atom's hold their Money VERY well, so you can safely say that this will do the same.

Now, what you can do is cheat if you wanted to and put an old F3 car through an IVA.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2286043.htm

Remove the front and rear wings, some lighting and wheel covers and you'd be pretty much through.

Including the IVA test, you'd be all in for under £18k.

I think most of those are too fast for the roads these days too

Really good to see a British outfit coming out with something which is being very well received by the press. Certainly looks the business.

...a Caterfield with relatively low power and skinny tyres.

I don't get this obsession with putting race cars on the road, it's not as if it's difficult to get on track these days, especially if you've got that sort of disposable income.

You could argue that most modern sports cars are way too capable to be used properly on the roads but this is just taking it to ridiculous extreme.

After the initial novelty it's just going to be massively frustrating to anyone that's got an inkling of what it would be capable of.

If you want a single seater, buy a proper one.

Bah humbug!!
