I am Steven
I am a criminal.
So am I from time to time and when you get caught, you get caught. You can either change the way you drive or accept it
There are more than two options.

Unfortunately, as Steve says, we have allowed this frankly obscene situation develop whereby an infraction automatically results in points (or a course).

Public apathy again.

The public could just open their eyes, watch where they are going, read the speed camera websites ( amazing things those, they even tell you where they will be) and then as if by magic, no more revenue for the cash cameras.

At no point do they nick you for going within the posted limits

Ideally fines only but then to the rich and carefree, there's bugger all incentive to not speed.

Do those websites tell you where they're going to be with the radar guns though?

don't be silly Kay

that's quite irrelevant

F***wit logic tells you that if you stick to the speed limit there's nothing to worry about

fortunately of course

do something trivial, like steal, or assault someone, and it will be down to someone's discretion

great that we have our priorities so right

Yes and being a sanctimonious prick about it means that you'll eventually get nicked for flouting what IS the law As with anything, you pays your money and you takes your choice.
