But! it needs front pads, tyres all over and the near side rear tyre was worn very bad on the inner edge so needs abit of geomtry adjustment of some kind
As others have said, this type of tyre wear is not uncommon so worth looking out for when viewing a potential buy. Quite a few Civics will have had front camber bolts and rear camber adjusters fitted and hopefully thereafter a fast road setup. This massively transforms the handling for the better and whilst I understand you are looking for an unmolested car, these mods are invisible on the surface but are definitely for the best.

You'd best get a few quotes.

Probably OK for us old gits, but depending on your record, they may load you for the fun of it.

Ive been able to look at that link you posted now, very nice car, it has got aftermarket springs and has rear camber adjusters will this have much of a difference on insurance? i suppose its different with every insurer.

Its only 10 miles away from me too wondering wether to go have a look at it.
I put some springs on mine and had the camber kit ready to go on as well (sold the car before I fitted it) and it didn't really affect my premium at all, but it does vary from one insurer to another. Try Sky insurance and some other more specialist brokers as most of the normal ones won't know what you mean when you try to tell them it has had camber adjusters fitted.

Awww, DC5 - almost went for one of those, but when I realised I could afford a nearly new S2K decision was made for me!

Hubbie had a CTR a few years ago. I'd have to agree on the steering - very numb. Almost lost it on a roundabout not going quickly at all, and that was the end of me being 'allowed' to drive it!

Feels tame compared to the S though!

I would think of getting one as a cheaper option to the S these days.

I hope he finds a good one.
