I can't Mistress late shift this week

i went and viewed the car today in the link i posted, its was very clean motor paint was in good condition maybe 2 tiny chips(needs a proper clean though) interior was brilliant

But! it needs front pads, tyres all over and the near side rear tyre was worn very bad on the inner edge so needs abit of geomtry adjustment of some kind

I offered 7500 was originally up for 8295, and he said he would get back to me as he had promised someone else coming from very far away that he would let them view it first.

Think i will start looking for some in the higher milage range CTR's 50k odd as there seems to be a few near by me.

got to have a ride in the old mans s2000 too which is a plus

The old mans car hmmmmmmmmmmmm, less of the old please.

It was a very nice car not touched since new, hence the front pads were down to almost zero and rear tyres shot, and as Toby said there is a geo issue with the rear as both were decidedly bald on the inside edge, or is this a normal wear pattern to the rear of a ctr?

But many thanks for all the above comments, the search will continue unless the offer is accepted!

The rear camber is not adjustable on the EP3 unless aftermarket parts are installed.

The wear is probably normal.

Yours has had quite a few problems though hasn't it (leaks etc)

A CTR is unlikely to suffer such problems, even though the steering is woeful, never mind the turning circle...

Swings and roundabouts (faster in the ITR of course).
I had a few problems in the first months, but over a year it really has done pretty well for a car with 124k miles that has seen plenty of track work.

Wheel bearing - fitted with help from a mate
Front Damper broke - for a set from a breakers. Front dampers changed with help from a mate
Clutch slave cylinder - done myself
Sump gasket - changed at local garage

Leaky boot - this is the real bugbear - I've had the car apart at the rear 4 times and still can't find it.

I'd have another one over a CTR any day.

I'm not sure most could live with a DC2 as a daily drive though Neil? I really liked mine but it did annoy me as a daily car.

The Civic has that great flexible Ivtec engine, and creature comforts, while still being nippy. Obviously not as sharp as the DC2 though.

Chris.
Wasn't that an issue with a lot of early EP's and a camber kit is recommended?

I've been using mine daily since November and it's been fine. Bit of a PITA over 70mph, but I really don't find it to be a problem.

The ATR seems very quiet and comfy in comparison though!
