Default new STI 320r

http://subaru.co.uk/new_320r

quote.

Unlike most performance cars, the new special edition WRX STI 320R has an 20PS more power than a standard WRX STI and also comes with sat nav as standard. And, unlike other special editions, there's no extra cost compared with a standard WRX STI. There's even the option of a practical performance 5-door hatchback as well as a 4-door saloon

- Low mounted, Boxer Turbo engine producing 320PS (20PS more power than standard WRX STI)
- Improved torque and driveability
- 0-60 mph in less than 5 seconds

The look at the small print.

WRX STI 320R is a standard WRX STI with a free 320R upgrade pack fitted post-registration. It is the customer's responsibility to inform their insurer if they opt to have the 320R pack fitted.

So they sell you a 300PS STI and then come and bolt on an extra 20PS after it is registered. Assume they just change the chip

Not really a revolution then..

Run-out model, presumably.

Possibly yer last chance to get a Turboru before the weedy new one appears - if the enviromarketeers have won.

Subaru performance packs have always been sold this way. Presumably because they don't meet EU emissions rules with the PPP fitted

Same with loud Lotus exhausts.

Still seems good value for the zebedees & shatnav n' sh it - assuming you keep it forever, that is.

...which rather depends if you can stand the appalling ride.

Similar money will put you in an EvoX.

Far better and a more involving drive, and MUCH less ugly.
