New motor
Relax!! Not the S, the wife's old Polo.
Because thanks to that big homo Peter, we got 2k off this which we took delivery of yesterday:
I'll post some better pics when the wife stops driving it about!
First impressions are great - even though we took a test drive first I'm still very impressed by the trim, finish and build quality of such a cheap car. Even though I haven't pushed it hard yet it appears to have plenty of poke, and handles/brakes superbly.
Decent ride quality and ergonomically so much better to drive than more expensive, better selling models. Roomy inside too.
In summary, after a couple of days we're well chuffed with it

Looks excellent!
Look forward to a full road test report. More so than a lot of allegedly more 'interesting' cars, oddly enough. I suspect it will be enjoyable, as well as an excellent shopping trolley.
