Let me guess; the 'weighty' road car was running too much castor, probably had cross-camber and too much toe-in both ends!

I should expect the optimal static settings are somewhere between NSX and S2000 fast-road!

Currently mine's set to;

+260kg given a 130mm ride height.

o/s/f camber 0.5deg neg
n/s/f camber 0.5deg neg

front align 0.4mm toe out

o/s/r camber 1.6deg neg
n/s/r camber 1.6deg neg

rear align 3.5mm toe in

Yep - definately something not quite right at the front!

THe dealer took at deposit on the S 240 earlier today so it might not be a tangerine one after all!

Not terribly different from the Hondas, unsurprisingly. Given the lightness and lowness, it's not as aggressive as some S2000s for fats road, the blues legend. I meant fast road...

6 or 7 degrees of castor?

That tiny bit or front toe-out will make the steering darty and eager to turn into a bend. So of course will less castor, but mid-engines often run quite a bit to stop them 'flapping' about; the NSX is over 7 IIRC.

Can't recall, as much as they could give me I think was what we agreed on, based on their work with 355s and the like on track.

That's from memory though, the sheet's with the manual in the boot of the car and it's raining
