Afternon - had a drive in MarkB's Exige today on the Helmsley meet. Cheers feela 
Damm entertaining car actually and very quick on cam after 6000rpm.
I'm going to drive a couple more actually and se if I can get used to the noise of the supercharger. If not it will be a non-supercharged one!

It's amazing what a decent fiddle with the geometry can do for the car, as Rich found out, the minute he started driving it a big grin appeared, and didn't go until he got out.

Exactly the conclusion Rich and I came to Nick. Lotus spend a lot of their time as consultants on other people's suspension design, they're hardly going to send their main product out of the factory handling like a shopping trolley are they?
The fora are full of people extolling the virtues of Ohlin or Nitron 2 way adjustables at 2 grand a pop, I have to wonder how many people even know what their dampers do, let alone how to set them up and adjust them.

Yep - can't emphasize the difference in feel between the car in the showroom and Mark's after it was set-up. It really was night and day.
The showroom car loaded up really quickly and was difficult to put lock on it for sharper turns, it also felt a little 'numb' by Lotus standards in giving feedback (NB this means approx twice as much feedback as a normal sporty car and 100000000 more times than any BMW)
The other one really told you exactly what was happening with the road, and really alive in your hands. The odd thing about the car is you don't really need to use much power to go very very fast, you just don't need to brake much!
