Looks better in the pics in Autocar actually.
New twin turbo engine is more interesting bit, as is the variable ratio active steering option - linked to the DSC and allows the steering to add inputs itself when oversteer is corrected. Very impressive.

Its the front I dislike.
Having said that, I HATED the 5 series when it was launched, but I would love a met black 535d Sport with the huge 19" alloys. I think they are the best alloys I have ever seen!
I will wait and reserve judgement when the sport version is launched, but the current saloon sport version is is too understated.

At least the back doesn't look like a Mitsi Charisma any more. I think it looks like a mini 6 series.
I still don't like it though

Interesting that BMW have gone down the turbo route now. They're the last of the mainstream Germans to go for some form of forced induction for their performance models.

I am looking forward to seeing if they drop that engine into the 1 series. Yes its a minger, but its going to be one fun car with that engine!

The new Lexus IS220 looks better as does the new Merc C-Class coming out next year.

yep 310 bhp from a twin turbo 3.5 litre engine (or is it a 3.0??). Is going to be tuning heaven.
